Deviousness |
I adopted Sophie, too. But in combination with Blaise. I've read she interacts with Lucia more closely, but having one Stormcloack and one Imperial orphan together in one house to me just looked like one of Iraza's educational methodes. And I can't help but think she found herself a Bellamont with Sophie - as it is very likely she killed her parents with her very own hands. xD
... But back to the picture.
I simply love Valerie's pose and facial expression and the children's open excitement. the children's bodies turned out very well, too. Just as the coloration.
Word. I also love to watch my children fight (that sounds so wrong in so many ways... and watching children fighting isn't even the strangest, lol). ;D
Sophie and Lucia do have a lot of interaction, usually teasing each other. But if Valerie can handle Dragons, rebel uprisings, and waltzing into the Sanctuary and carving a merry swath of destruction... I think she can handle two young girls.
I had *TheHungrySuccubus do something like this because it's how it really does feel.
I'll bring Valerie back home around four in the morning, covered in nicks and bruises, carrying half the loot in Skyrim in her bag. She's been gone for over a week, smells worse than a pack of scamps, so tired she can barely stand a moment longer. She'll stop at the chest in the hall, doff her armor, turn the corner... and POOF! They'll run up to her, yelling "MAMA! MAMA! You're back! Hooray!" They'll pester me with stories about going to Falkreath, seeing the Khajiit traders, finding a new pet fox or spider...
And I can;t help but think that for Valerie, this is her little slice of heaven. She's spent so long without a family... Sure, she's had Demicus, Sarah, Talitha... But they all have duties. Lives of their own. They're off in Akavir, or the Shivering Isles. For the first time, she's got someplace to really call HOME.
I pity the Dragon or General that ever decides to attack Lakeview Manor. They'll unleash a hell even the Daedra would be afraid to bear witness to. But until then, she's got her little haven, far from the rest of the worlds problems.
Sophie and Blaise sadly nearly never interact at all. :/
That's a great story. And I can totally see Valerie's 'little peace of heaven' on the picture. I like how it looks like such a common, simple situation, yet it includes so much emotion.
